M has been quite the little babysitter lately. She loves it. She's babysat for several families in our ward. One night she got to watch these cute little guys. I came and helped her get them to bed, but she had things pretty much under control all on her own. They are 5 months old and such cuties. Maybe she'll get to watch them again when she comes back so I can play with them too! It's fun to see her growing up and becoming responsible.

I love that we live so close to many of our family members. We always have such a good time together and I love the memories that we make!
This picture is pretty blurry, but under all that blur is DH. We went to Brenda's today and as soon as we got there these little monkeys were climbing all over DH. I think that's 5 kids on him. He was a good sport and played with them for a long time, they all thought it was great!
Yesterday we went to celebrate the 80th birthday of Aunt June. She had all of her 8 children there, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, cousins, nieces, nephews and many more. It was nice to see so my people there showing their love and support for her!

I dropped T off at BYU Monday morning for a 4-day basketball camp. His cousin Josh from Oregon came too! They were roommates and had a great time. One of Josh's friends' also came and they all got along well. They did drills, learned new skills, played games, and enjoyed many other activities. Their team won the championship! T LOVED it!!
Now, he's off to Oregon. I was talking to Sarah the other night and she was telling me about the trek that their stake is doing. Her and Damian are going to be a "Ma and Pa" and they had 3 boys from their "family" quit. So, she had a great idea to see if T could go. She sent a few texts and got the go-ahead. I went to the store and got some of the things he'll need and on Monday Sarah will take him to the store to get him some pioneer clothes. They will go on the trek from Wednesday to Saturday (I think). They will walk 10 miles a day, pulling a handcart. I'm excited for T. I think it's going to be a really great experience for him. I hope he learns a lot, grows a lot, works hard, and has a lot of fun.
My mom took this cute picture of the girls after their dance recital. They did a great job!!! Their dances were super cute, they had great smiles, and they danced well. I LOVE to watch these two dance. They are getting really good at it and they enjoy it so much.
So, after we got the trampoline all set up and back to normal the YW president and 2nd counselor pulled up. They were coming to talk to M and give her all the stuff she needs to prepare for YW. As we started talking, our cute little friend came up to me and told me that J had fallen through glass. I quickly ran to the back and found J sitting on the table with M trying to doctor her up. Apparently she was climbing out her window (not sure why she couldn't use the door) and used this aquarium as a step stool. Well, her feet (bare, of course) pushed right through the glass. Then, she pulled her feet out. When I got to her she wasn't crying but she did have quite a few cuts and scrapes. I carried her into the house and started cleaning her up with the help of my friends (what would I do without them). I kept expecting to find tiny pieces of glass stuck in her, but found none. I can't believe that after all the scrapes and cuts I didn't find one piece of glass. She was a pretty lucky girl, it could've been a lot worse. What a crazy afternoon it ended up being. Luckily the rest of the day was nice.
The other day we had a little freak storm come through. I was at the eye doctor with the girls for their check-ups and when I came out it was pouring rain. Weird. But, by the time I got home (about 4 blocks) the rain had stopped. As I pulled into my driveway, I noticed that there was a trampoline right in the middle of my neighbor's driveway. Then I realized it way MY trampoline. How on earth? I guess there was some major wind gusts and it picked that trampoline right up and flipped it over a 6-foot fence. I can't believe the fence didn't get knocked over. I called two of my dear friends and they came over to help me rescue the tramp. We rolled it down the driveway, flipped it back to standing position, and then carried it into the street and finally back into my yard. Some of my neighbors saw us and came over to help carry it, which was super nice. It was pretty bent up and sad looking at first, but I think we got it looking normal and it was even still "trampable" as S would say:)
I dropped these 3 cute girls off at the airport this morning. They are off to Maryland for 3 weeks! We sure are going to miss M around here, she add so much to our family. But, I'm excited for her. What a fun opportunity to go spend some time with her cousin. I hope they have the best of times!
T and I enjoyed a few games of Jenga the other day. We got that tower pretty high! Check out that concentration, so cute!
My cute niece Jenna started BYU on Monday. We got to go see her in her dorm while she was getting all set up. I can't believe my little "pickle" is in college.
We got DH this fun fire pit for Father's Day! So, on Monday night we invited some friends over for a weenie roast. Then my friend made a yummy apple dumpling dessert. So fun!
I went with the activity days girls on a hike yesterday. It was more like a walk on a path, rather than a hike, but the girls all enjoyed it. Afterwards we stopped at the park and had a snack. This was M's last activity day because soon she will be going into Young Women's!
I made these yummy pretzels for lunch today. We dipped them in some nacho cheese sauce. Super delish!
M got home from Girls Camp yesterday. She had a great time. DH went up Tuesday night and spent the night there, and then I was able to go Wednesday and spend the evening there for Bishopric night. It was fun seeing her interact with everyone and she was excited to tell me all about what they had been doing. I can't believe she is old enough to go to camp. I have many fond memories of all the years I went to camp. I loved it and I hope she loves it just as much. There were a ton of mosquitos there. I think I counted 22 bites that I have and I was only there for an evening. M is covered in bites, DH of course got none. He never does, so unfair. After dinner and testimony meeting Wednesday we walked to the Manti Temple to watch the dress rehearsal of the "Mormon Miracle Pageant". DH and I didn't stay for the whole thing because we still had an hour drive home. We got home around midnight. My parents stayed with the kids so we could go, which I thought was so nice. I felt bad that they didn't get home until almost 1:00 a.m. I was happy that we were able to go and spend some time at camp. I still love it even as an adult! M was exhausted when she got home and took a long nap. What a great experience for us all!
On Saturday the girls danced in the parade for Art City Days.
They were exhausted by the end of the parade, but they did a great job. And of course they were super cute. After the parade we ate at J Dawgs, probably the best hot dog place ever. Then we went home, DH napped, I cleaned, J watched T.V., M packed for girls camp, S went to a birthday party, and we all waited for T to get home from his scout overnighter. After he was home and showered and everyone else was done with their stuff, we headed over to Seven Peaks for some water park fun. It was a great Saturday!
T ran his first 5K this morning. I was really proud of him for doing it. He didn't train at all and he finished in like 25 minutes. Way to go T! Maybe next year I'll have to run too.
I guess one good thing about all the rain we're having, is getting to see beautiful rainbows!
M had her track meet on Tuesday. It was freezing. I keep wondering if it really is Spring, and if so why won't it stay. She did really well and had a fun time! I can't believe this is her last track meet and next year she will join T at Jr. High. CRAZY!
R was driving home from work on Friday night and got rear ended on the on-ramp. Then, he hit the car in front of him and that car was able to get out of the way, but then R hit the next car too. He said he was trying and trying to put on his brakes, but they wouldn't work. Luckily for us the cop sited the van (the one who hit R for all 3 cars). The driver of the van said that he was taking off his boot and realized that he wasn't slowing down enough. R was going under 5 mph and the driver of the van was going about 30 mph, so R got hit pretty hard. The important thing is that he is okay. It could've been much worse. We took him to the hospital and there is no serious damage. He does have whiplash, a nice bruise from the seatbelt, and will be very sore for a while. The insurance adjuster came out today and said it will be a total loss - not at all surprising. So, now we have to find a new car. Too bad that one was going to be paid off in about a year and our car payment was only $100. Hopefully we can find something close to that. We are just smiling and saying it could've been worse. Time to count our blessings, right?!
