Getting Ready

A couple of her friends from the team.

Competition time is quickly approaching.
To help the girls get ready they have had a chance to perform at some local venues.
M had a performance a couple of weeks ago and has another one coming up soon.
This costume is for her dance "Under the Weather".
I can't believe it's that time of year again.

Morning Sounds

I love waking up to the sounds of my children playing in their rooms. This morning when I woke up I heard the girls quietly playing in their room. They were making up some kind of game, and having a great time. Then, I went to check on the boys and they were upstairs playing together nicely with no fighting. What a pleasant way to wake up!

A Little Bit on T

T has been a busy kid these days. He is growing right up. The other day he came home from school with his Jr. High registration paper. He needed to choose his electives and then turn the paper back in the next day. Weird. How do I have a kid who will be going to Jr. High next year? He chose Art, Drama, and Spanish with Chorus and General Music as his alternates.
He's been busy playing Futsal (indoor soccer), for the last 2 months, is loving it. He plays games 2 nights a week, and has practice one night a week. He is really playing well!
For Science the kids had to make an "Ice Melt Box", which is a container that holds ice. The goal was to see whose box would keep the ice solid the longest. T's box won! It took like 4 hours before his ice cube melted. He was pretty excited, and came up with his box all on his own!

Sunday we went to a Court of Honor, where he got his First Class Rank.
He loves the scouting program, and is really doing well with his requirements.
I'm so glad that he has good leaders who help and encourage him to succeed!
He's a pretty great kid!

Icebreaker Tournament

The real reason we went to St. George was for a soccer tournament, all the fun was just an added bonus. The Icebreaker Tournament was this weekend. T's team did awesome. They came in 4th in their division, which is amazing. T really came alive this weekend. He was right in the action all the time. He really has improved in his soccer skills this last year. It's such a rewarding thing watching your kids succeed. He had some great moves and even scored!

Sunday Fun

A little more fun in St. George!!
Jeremy stuck the girls way up on the wall!
They were hilarious trying to get down.

We met up at the park with some people from T's soccer team.
We had a picnic, talked, and played.

The park was really cool, and had a lot of fun, different types of play equipment.

M relaxing in the swing!

J and Allie being crazy.
I've had a lot of fun watching these two play together this weekend.
They are super cute together!

The soccer boys with their coaches.

We played a soccer game.
Kids vs. Adults
DH was being the goalie.

We actually gave the kids a good run!

Everyone was in on the fun.

What a fun day!
HAPPY VALENTINES!

We Are Having SO Much Fun

We are enjoying our time here in St. George!! When we left home it was snowing, and now we are enjoying the sunshine! We are staying with our friends Jeremy and Sharla, in their gorgeous home. DH served a mission with Jeremy and he has been kind enough to let us stay with them.
There are plenty of fun things here for the kids to enjoy!
The 3-story tree house is one of those things!

...or the sand volleyball.

S and Allie.
Allie is feeding the fish in the pond, while S is trying to catch them.
They weren't very successful. S did however get a turtle, but I didn't get a picture of that.

DH and J enjoying a little fun on the paddle boats!

Movie time in the theatre room!

S and Bree eating.

The boys stuck to the velcro wall. They have been spending hours jumping and having fun!

J taking "orders" in the snack bar.

The girlies playing house. So cute.

Allie and J are having so much fun together! They were a little shy at first, but that didn't last too long, now they are inseperable.

A little bit of hot tubbing! This is a rare moment where there is no one in the hot tub.
The kids even braved the pool, but it isn't quite warm enough.
48 degrees, BRRR. But, the hot tub is a cozy 101!
Needless to say, we are having a BLAST!!!

Tap Class

I went to a tap class last night with my friend Judy. It was SO much fun. I haven't been to a class since I was married. I was a little worried that I wouldn't be able to do it anymore, but I actually picked it up pretty quickly. There were a few things that I couldn't do anymore, but hopefully if I keep going I'll be able to pick it up again. I forgot how much I love to tap!

Since I'm posting old pictures...

Since I'm posting old pictures, I thought I better put these up too.
Christmas Eve morning we went over to some friends' house and had breakfast together.
The kids had a lot of fun spending time with their friends. DH had to work, and my friend is a single mom, so it was just us and the kids. We had another friend there too, whose hubby was also at work. We had some yummy food and good company!!
T and Jessie

"The Three Musketeers"
These 3 are best buds. They have lots and lots of energy.

All the girlies.

S had a loose toothe and kept asking everyone to try and pull it. He insisted that it didn't hurt. He found some pliers, and asked my friend Lori to give it a try. So, she did. But it didn't come out. A few days later, T got it out. S came downstairs with a bloody mouth and a big smile. He said, "Mom T pulled out my tooth!" He was so happy. This tooth has been loose since September when he fell at school and knocked his tooth loose on the playground equipment. I asked T how he got it out, and he said that he held S's head with his arm (kind of like a headlock), and then just pulled and pulled until it came out. What a good brother?!!!?

Ange and Yoho

Such a happy couple.

Family

In December Andrea and Yoho went to the Salt Lake Temple to be sealed for
Time and all Eternity. It was a beautiful ceremony. I am so proud of them for the decision
that they made to go to the temple. They've worked hard for it and they will be blessed
because of their efforts. They are both wonderful people and love each other so much.
I am so glad I was able to go with them and witness this wonderful ordinance.

She's Famous!

M was in the local newspaper the other day.
She got picked to sing at a motivational assembly.
We don't get the paper, but saw this picture posted up at her
dance studio. So, we went to see where it came from.
And there it was in the newspaper.
She's famous!

A Tooth and Some Glasses

I took M to the dentist yesterday because Tuesday night she had been complaining about a tooth ache. I looked in her mouth and didn't see anything, so I gave her some Tylenol and sent her to bed. In the morning I asked how she was feeling. She said she was a little better but now there was a bump in her mouth. When I looked in her mouth in the morning a saw a huge bump with an infection. Great. So, I called the dentist to get her an appointment. We went in and the dentist told us the best way to take care of it would be to pull it since it was a baby molar. I kind of figured that was what they would do. They number her up, well at least they tried. The infection was so bad that they couldn't really numb the area well enough, but he pulled the tooth anyways. My poor little M was in some major pain. She tried to be so brave, but the tears just kept coming. When we got in the car she asked if she could have a drink from Sonic. How could I say no to that? When we got home, she laid in my bed for almost 2 hours. Poor girl. But, on a positive note, the tooth fairy was on time again!! She sure is getting good!

Today I took M and T to the eye dr. T needed a check up and M had been complaining that she was having a hard time seeing the board in class. T was fine, no change, needs to keep wearing his glasses for reading. M, however had big changes in her eyesight in the last year. She definitly needs glasses. She doesn't need to wear them all the time, but she does need to wear them most of the time in the classroom. She picked out a super cute pink pair. Kind of like the ones in this picture, but the pink is a little darker and there are stripes, not circles. I think she looks pretty cute in them. Fun times for M!
