Fiesta Days Parade 2013

We always enjoy the time of year when we celebrate Fiesta Days!
There is always so much to do and much fun to be had!

Stripling Warriors

Heart 'n Soul Dancers

The young men in several areas came together to do a Helamen's March.  It was amazingly powerful.  To see those young men marching down the street singing hymns was an experience everyone will remember.  It was by far the highlight of the parade.  I'm so glad our boys got a chance to participate in this awesome event.  There was not a dry eye as we all watched these boys.  I can't even imagine how those mothers felt sending their boys off to fight. What faith and obedience that must have taken.  I'm so grateful for the example of those 2,000 warriors and the sacrifices they made.

National Lipstick June 29, 2013

The girls and I had so much fun celebrating National Lipstick Day last year.  I can't believe we forgot about it this year.  I knew it was coming up, but I just barely missed it.  So, in honor of that day,  here are a few shots from last year!
Kissy Lips

Electronics

I was looking at old photos on my phone and saw this one that made me giggle.  Last year we went to an Owlz game with Brandts.  I noticed all the electronics sitting around and we decided to stack them up.  How sad is that we can't even go to a game without bringing all this along?!

Universal Studios 2013

Our last stop was Universal Studios Hollywood.  Another first for the kids.  Once again it was another fun filled day and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Creepy Vampire Girl

It was very interesting seeing all the different things from movies and learning about special effects.  We got to see several movie sets on the studio tour and some pretty cool props from movies.  Our whole trip was a huge success.  We played hard and enjoyed every second of it, but we were ready to rest when it was done.  Looking back now, I'd do it all over again!

Sea World 2013

Our next stop was Sea World!  The kids had never been there and the last time Ry and I went was on our honeymoon, so it was way past time to go.  I love Sea World!  The weather was perfect and there were hardly any lines.  It was a fabulous day!!

Shamu Show

Kenzie, Anna, and Deo

I think Kenzie looks more like Anna than me.  Both beautiful girls.  I feel lucky to be a part of their lives.  Love that Deo is just hanging out there!

Beautiful Animals

"Behind" the scenes.
My friend from high school works at Sea World, and I got a hold of her before we went.  She was so nice and let us stay after the show for some interaction with one of the whales.  We got to learn some signals, wave at the whale, and even got our very own soak show!  We were drenched, but it was totally worth it.  What an experience!

Right after our up-close encounter!

Dolphin Show

My favorite animal ever!

Lovin' my family!

Emperor Penguin, Jo's favorite!
Baby Beluga

This beluga whale was so cute!  Kenzie and I stayed behind and watched him for a long time.  We got some super cool shots of him "playing" in the water.  The entire day was filled with good times!

San Diego Beach 2013

After 3 days of non stop fun at Disneyland & California Adventure we drove to San Diego to visit Anna and have a "resting day".  Of course, when you're in San Diego you have to go to the beach!

One of Ry's favorite things to eat is fish & chips.  Especially fish & chips from the pier.  He was in food heaven.  Really if you're going to have fish, fresh is the best.  We tried fried pickles, which were lovely!  It was a whole lot of fried yumminess!

Tanner & Deo cruising the docks.

Ry and the kiddos.

Kenzie catching some rays.

Love my sister!

Spencer, Joneaux, & Sophie

Not sure who added the chest, but they're a lovely addition to my sweet boy;)

For dinner that evening we went to the street fair, which was loads of fun.  There were so many vendors there of all types.  My favorite was the Russian booth that was selling pelmeny, an all time favorite.  We got a few orders and loved it so much we kept going back for more.

20 Mule Team Days

Before we went to Disneyland, we stopped to visit Grandpa!  It was right during 20 Mule Team Days, so we went to their little parade, to the museum, and to the park for lunch.  We also got to visit some of hubby's friends, ride bikes, play wii, and bbq with Grandpa.  It was a great start to a great vacation!
20 Mule Team

Of course we had to get a picture standing in front of this gigantic tractor thingy!

Tanner, the fireman!

Disneyland Trip 2013

We LOVE LOVE LOVE Disneyland!
It had been 5 years since we went, and we all decided it was way past time that we go again.  We had a blast!  The weather was great, the lines weren't long, and we enjoyed every single minute of it!

I can't believe it's already been 9 months since we were there.  I think we would all go back now if we could.  Disneyland really is one of the happiest places on earth!
