Last night we got snow. Technically it wasn't the first snow, but it's the first time this season that it has actually stuck to the ground. I think when it snows it makes the holiday season feel like it is actually here. It is also very beautiful.
When we woke up this morning everything was covered in white. We got a good 3-4 inches during the night, which means the snow is here to stay. All the housetops and the trees are decorated with a lovely white.
Although the snow makes everything pretty, it also makes a lot of mess. I wasn't quite ready for the wet clothes, freezing toes, hats, gloves, mud, more laundry, shoveling, leaving early, and all the other "fun" things associated with snow. But, it's here, and we may as well enjoy it.

Yeah for Snow! Yeah for Christmas lights! Yeah for D's wedding!
It does feel right for the snow to be sticking around now. We woke up to the white stuff here today too!
From Thanksgiving through Christmas I love the snow! I really miss the blanket of snow sticking around after storms that we had when we live in Utah, too. Here it seems to always melt away the next day. And they told us the winters here were going to be so bad. Wusses.
Love the snow, hate the cold and the mess it brings with it! I do like having snow this time of year though, it just seems right.
What a beautiful picture of the snow falling! I like the snow as long as I'm warm. Once I'm cold, it's no fun anymore.
We're in the midst of the same storm here in COLORADO. Yippeee!!
awe... snow is so pretty, isn't it? Especially when it falls in those big fluffy flakes. I'm ok with snow as long as I am inside by the fire, sipping hot cocoa, watching the snowflakes fall.... all in all, I really am an AZ girl although I grew up for 22 years in Utah. Great picture.
I LOVE this picture! Such a cool shot!
