Support Our Troops

Last week my BIL left for Iraq for his 3rd tour of duty. His wife is pregnant with their 3rd child, a little girl, and they have 2 adorable boys. These men and women who go and fight for our freedoms and for our country really do sacrifice a lot. Seeing what my sweet SIL goes through makes me all the more appreciative. I hope Kyle knows how much we love him, how proud we are of him, and how much we'll miss him. Let's try to remember to keep him and all the soldiers out their fighting for us in our prayers.
Saying good-bye to his boys.

I will definately keep them in my prayers. I can't imagine the strength required on both sides to be away from your family and being the single parent.
God bless them!

Please let them know how much they are appreciated. I can't even imagine how difficult it must be for them and their children. I try to always remember our troops in my prayers, but appreciate the reminder.

That must be so hard. Military wives have a tough role.

Very cool. I have a cousin who is very close to me that goes through the same thing... He's there now and is not scheduled back until August (he's been gone 4 months already). She has 4 kids under the age of 8... I'm not sure how she functions day in and day out without him around.

It truly is the ultimate sacrifice. I loved that picture... priceless.

Wow. It hits closer to home when you know those that are sacrificing. Thanks for their service. They are always in our prayers. Thanks for the post and reminder.

This makes me cry. I can't imagine how hard this sacrifice is, yet I'm so, so grateful for it. Bless him and his family while he's away. (((HUGS)))

Oh that's so sad to see him go! But what a wonderful sacrifice he's making (and his family!) for the rest of us. Best of luck to him!

I love the fact that there are people willing to fight for our country. I don't know how those people sleep at night that don't support our troops. It makes my heart ach for his family because I watched my sister and her kids go through it and it is not easy.

Wow, that is heartwrenching, watching him hug his little boys goodbye. This reminds me, I need to ask you how Sara R is doing. I'm going to call you right now.

I am just filled with AWE, for families that make these kinds of sacrifices for all of us. I am so grateful for them. It is really nice to put a "real" face on them, and know what goes on in their lives.

Thank you for sharing this with us!
