The Case of the Stolen Bike

Saturday morning, we discovered that T's bike had been stolen. He was just in tears. He loves riding bikes, and rides his every day. I felt really bad for him. I was a little frustrated because I've been telling the kids over and over to put their things away at night or else things would get stolen. So, part of me thinks it was a good lesson for the kids to learn, but more of me feels bad for him. I guess we'll have to get him a new one.

That stinks. I keep warning my kids, too. They just don't listen.

That is so frustrating.

That's the problem with "letting kids learn their lesson". It always ends up costing you more money. You could always let him go pick up a junker from D.I.?

That justs sucks. Sucks to learn a hard lesson, and sucks that there is some one out there who would steal a bike from a kid.

That totally stinks. One of my boys had an expensive scooter stolen from leaving it out. I made them replace it. It never got left out again. If they buy it, it's made of gold and irreplaceable. If I buy it they can always get another one.

Sad for T:(

I'm so sorry his bike got hitched. We've lost two nice bikes that way. Makes me sick to my stomach that there are kids out there who come home on different bikes and their parents do nothing.
I hope it turns up.

My dad used to tell us to take our bikes in. When we didn't he would take the bikes and hide them for like a week and then bring them out. We never did it again!

I hope he gets a new bike soon!

Ok, it was me. I was sick of you picking on me, so I took T's bike. Alright, I can't even pretend, cuz that's just so stinking mean! Poor T, you will have to get him a new bike for sure!

Oh that's rough! That's especially frustrating right at the beginning of the summer! Maybe it will turn up in a day or two.

That is terrible, though it is probably a great lesson. Still not fun though! :(

How sad! We didnt grow up in the city, so we could leave our bikes out in the back all the time!

We had a princess three wheeled scooter that just got stolen too. I am totally pissed off. Stupid people. Can't they take my van instead so I can get a new one. :)

That stinks! I'm sorry. I have the same issues with my kids and their toys. I should probably make it more of an issue after hearing this.
