Baby Shower

We had a baby shower for my SIL last Saturday. Her and her husband have been married for 6 years and this is their first. After a lot of "trying", doctors, and prayers, they were finally able to get pregnant. Strangely enough after all that, they were able to get pregnant all on their own. We are all so excited for them because we know how much they have wanted this. Their little Hannah Marie is expected to be here the end of August.

They live in Boise, ID and came down for the weekend. We had a lot of family come to celebrate with us. DH's sister from CO came with her family and so did his grandma, aunt, and cousins from Rexburg, ID. It was a great party! My MIL and SIL put a lot of work into the shower and it turned out wonderful. I really hope she enjoyed it. One of the decorations was a darling cake made out of diapers. It was decorated with headbands, socks that looked like flowers, toys, nail clippers, and was topped with a cute night light. We had a salad bar, which of course was delicious. The salad dressing was put into baby bottles, and the punch had rubber duckies floating in it.

We played the game where you can't cross your legs and if you catch someone else doing it you get to take away their clothespin necklace. I won that one!! Woo Hoo! We had a purse scavenger hunt. It was very interesting to see what everyone had in their purses. We had a relay where one person had to drink a bottle of juice, someone had to identify what was in the dirty diaper, and the last person had to eat a thing of baby food. M was one of the people who had to identify the dirty diaper. Her and her cousin figured out that it was candy, and decided to take a taste. It looked so disgusting and they thought they were so funny!!

She got a lot of really nice presents and I think the whole shower turned out to be a big success! I hope they enjoy their new little bundle and savor every moment!
