We had a fun candlelight, Valentine's dinner with the kids. They love drinking out of "champagne" glasses, and I found these ones at the dollar store. I had a lot of fun setting the table and getting it all ready for the kids. They loved it! We started off the dinner with a Valentine toast where everyone said what they loved about our family. And, then we enjoyed a yummy steak dinner.
DH and I made a deal not to get each other anything this year. And, for once I upheld my end of the deal, but he didn't. So, now I need to think of something fun to do for him today.

That is so adorable! How fun is that?! I'm sure everyone loved it.
How fun! you always have the best ideas! I can't wait to do these types of things when Hannah is older!
What did DH get you!!!? Do share!
Very fun! I know our kids always remember things like that! :)
What a fun dinner! I agree that you are a fun mom! :D
Looks very nice!
That looks like it was so fun! What a great Idea. I used to hate valentines until I was married now its lots of fun! Its even more fun when justin brings home a valentine for me and also macy. She already loves getting flowers and she's only 3!
We didnt do much spectacular with everyone fighting a cold but we did order pizza and I didnt have to cook so that was great!
What a nice valentine's day! DH and I have those deals sometimes, too. He ALWAYS breaks them! The bugger!
So sweet. You're a great mom.
Ohhh!!! That sounds like so much fun! We're also having a Valentine's dinner by candlelight for the family, but we're doing it Sunday because that will be easier for us!
I love your idea of toasting, and having everyone share what they love about the family...I hope you don't mind if I sort of "borrow" it! ;)
Thank you for visiting me and leaving me such a nice comment! :)
I love the idea of a candlelight dinner with the kids. My children used to love "toasting" each other--I also think it's so fun to watch.
Isn't it fun when you have agreements and someone doesn't keep with the program ; )
I love that DH didn't follow the rules...soooo cute!
I love the family dinner idea and that you all shared something that you love about each other. Darling!

That is a great idea! So fun!
I agree - - THAT is adorable. You're an excellent mom, not that my vote counts, but there you have it anyway!
FUN! We had a valentine's dinner planned with our kids, but at the last minute my sister-in-law called and offered to babysit so we could go out... We're terrible parents, because we took her up on it! But luckily the kids were way more excited to spend time with their aunt than to have a boring dinner with mom and dad ;)
