A while ago my blender broke. I didn't realize how often I actually used it until it was gone. Yesterday DH and I were at the store and I saw this one, and decided it was time to get a new blender. It's a very nice one, much more sophisticated than my old one that I had for 11 years. It has a cool spout for making smoothies. We made some this morning and they were delicious!

Hey... I have one like that-- well, not exactly, but the same idea. I love to make smoothies or power drinks and I love my spout! Yay, for new blenders!!!
It's funny that you said 11 years... made me think you probably got it as a wedding gift and just the other day I was saying to my friend, "when it's your 10 year anniversary everyone should buy you something again because everything is ruined after 10 years!"
My blender broke back around Christmas (when I dropped it on the floor and cracked). I didn't realize how much I use it either, until it was gone. I've used my smoothie maker, but it's not really the same for me.
I break blenders all the time--guess I'm a bit of a klutz That's a nice one.
SWEET! Sometimes having something break is the only way to get a new one. I sorta purposefully killed my vacuum last week so I could get a new one... it was 11 years old.
