My kids all love to cook. Lately they have been wanting to do a lot of cooking and they want to do it by themselves. They all especially love to make pancakes. I think it's because they like flipping the pancakes over. It's kind of nice because if we are having a crazy morning then I can ask whoever is ready to come and flip the pancakes or scramble the eggs or whatever. Very nice!
S has become very independent lately. Several times I've found him in the kitchen
making himself a sandwich or some toast, or pouring himself a bowl of cereal, or anything else he thinks he can do on his own. It's so cute to see him doing these things. I can't believe how big he's getting and quickly it's happening.

What cute cousins I have! Not to long ago you thought I was cute pooring my own cereal. Soon they'll be married and blogging too!
That's great. Cooking is such a good activity for kids. Pretty soon you won't have to cook anymore!!!

I didn't learn how to flip a pancake until like 4 years ago!! Haha. It's great that you've got them helping in the kitchen, I've started doing this with SlowMo too.
What good little helpers! I have like that and the other two want me to fix stuff for them.

That is so great!!! Our kids are really starting to enjoy watching us cook. They'll climb on top of chairs and try to help us stir - - or sit perched in front of the oven watching whatever is inside, bake.
It sounds like you are rubbing off on him - these are invaluable experiences (& memories) you are making & sharing!!
How cute! What great helpers! I need a personal chef... Isn't it amazing how quickly they really do grow up?!
