Yesterday we got invited to a birthday party for one of our friends. They had Cinderella come. The kids all thought that was so much fun, even the boys. She brought crowns for them to make so they could be princes and princesses. She also played some really neat games with them. They had a te
a party with cupcakes, chocolate milk, grapes, strawberries, jelly beans, gummy bears, and cookies. Then she sang to them, and she had an amazing voice. She really did a great job at keeping the kids entertained the entire time and she did all the work by herself. She even brought party favors. My friend was very happy that she didn't have to do any of the work. However, it cost her $250. She thought it was way worth it, I on the other hand could never imagine paying that much. Does that make me a cheap mom? I know a lot of people who do the
se huge parties for their kids every year. I don't know how they do it. We try to keep ours pretty low-key and my kids never seem to mind.
I am glad that they had such a fun time though. After everyone else left we stayed for pizza and then we watched "Barnyard" with the kids. It is a very cute movie, and one that even DH and I enjoyed. It was a fun and relaxing evening, which
is nice sometimes.

Wow. I probably spent maybe $100 on the beast's 1st birthday party. I'm not real sure, but I know that all the little things add up. $250 sounds like a lot though. But it sounds like it was a cute party!
I'm guilty of paying that much and more for birthday parties. We've had them at home and I swear by the time I finish buying the food and decorations and goody bags I spend just as much. I'm a pro at justifying the expense too!
I guess we just do big birthdays in my family. It will eventually have to stop though! Our money tree seems to have stopped growing in our back yard!
What a GREAT party! A neighbor recently spent $325 on a party and I about had a heart attack. I think I'll just skip the party and spend all that money on the child instead. And not all those goody bags!
What a fun party, but I'm with you. I've never spent that much on a party and I honestly don't think I ever will.
My son "D" loves outer space and last year I threw him a space themed party. I only spent about $50 and 10 boys came. We had games, a pinata and a rocket cake. I got things on sale and clearance, which helped. It was a little stressful, but it still turned out very cute
