Gingerbread Houses

The kids were very excited to do gingerbread houses. When we were at Wal-Mart, they each got to pick a bag of candy they wanted to use, and then share it with everyone else. We had a very interesting variety of candy, but they all had a great time. I love watching the kids use their imaginations to create things and to play together. They all did what they wanted, and everything turned out so fun.

MSL and I thought it would be a good idea to go check our blogs while everyone was so happily decorating their houses. They were being so good, so why not, right? When we finally decided it might be a good idea to go check on the darlings, we walked into a bunch of sticky little girls covered in white frosting. But, they were having a great time, and it's not too often that they get to be together.

I think everyone is having such a wonderful time together. They all get along so well, and we hardly have any arguements. Texas is so dang far away and I wish they could play like this all the time. I hope that someday we might get to live close to each other, so that we can make more memories together, and they can always stay close friends!! We LOVE our cousins.

I'm supposed to take my boys to make gingerbread houses this week. I'm not very careful when it comes to decorating so we'll see how they turn out!

How fun! :)

Ooh I love decorating those. We're having our annual decorating contest in a couple of weeks. I've never won yet so I'm determined to win this year. Glad you guys are all having so much fun together.

We are doing ours on Sunday after church. My mom and I used to stay up until three in the morning making gingerbread houses. We came up with all sorts of fun stuff. I want to do the same thing with my girls, except for the three in the morning part. It is fun seeing all of these fun traditions.

Speaking of traditions, I read on Gab's blog that you have a no-fail candy recipe. Um, I stink at candy. Could I get it from you? My e-mail addy is Thanks a bunch in advance!

What great work they all did! I can only imagine the mess, but you are right, it's worth all that fun!

So cute!!!

I have been SOOOOOO absent lately. It's been busy around here and I have enough time to pay online bills, post something, reply to emails and then I am off chasing my little one. The holidays do not help either!! I enjoyed this quick stop. :)
