Draper Temple

Today we went to the Draper Temple Open House!

We took the kids out of school for the day and went to the open house with some of our friends. First we went to a church and watched a short film. Then, we loaded onto some buses and they took us to the temple. We walked through the amazing building and got to see where some of the most important work on this earth will be performed. The kids actually were pretty well behaved so it made it even more enjoyable. They were interested and were asking a lot of questions about temples and temple work. It was a wonderful family outing!

What a great day!

Oh My Gosh, you are the cutest family. I miss you guys so much and love you so much.
The temple is beautiful and the work that goes on inside is soooooo vastly important. I'm glad you all got to go.

How fun! We get to go in about a week! I have never been to an open house, just a dedication. We might even have some non members come with us too.

I was so hoping the open house would have been while we were there at Christmas.

Glad you got a chance to go--and to take your children.

That is so awesome you went! I didn't know you could take kiddos, but that is so smart and a wonderful experience for each of them. I have a ticket for this Wednesday! I am SO looking forward to it. It's my reward for potty training Liam in the coming days.

I want to go. We took our boys to the Bountiful Temple and Monkey Wrench was little. He wanted to see Jesus. He was demanding and I quietly told him that Jesus wasn't there. He look at me and said quietly in a loud whisper, "This is His house and I want to see him." Can't argue with that. I told him to look really hard and he ended up dropping it. Whew!

How special! We took our kids to the open house in NewPort Beach and it was gorgeous. The kids still talk about it! Emma will be able to do baptisms soon, can you believe it?
