Harvest Moon Hurrah

On Saturday, our city put on it's second annual Harvest Moon Hurrah. DH had to work, but the kids and I went and it was so much fun. We got there early so that the kids could ride the ponies without having to stand in a line that was an hour and a half, like last year (which we didn't stand in last year, we skipped this event and the kids were so sad). They all thought the pony rides were so much fun, I'm glad we made it this year.

After that we walked around doing other various activities. They had a straw maze, which was one of the favorites. S of course was jumping on top of the bales. They had face painting and coloring. There was one station where there was pumpkins and apples floating in a wheelbarrell. You then had to put on a blindfold and try to scoop out the pumpkin. They played musical numbers. They also had ongoing entertainment; choirs, melodramas, orchestras etc. It was a very nice evening.

They served chili and scones for dinner. It was a perfect meal because it was kind of cold outside. The scones were so delicious!! After we ate, the kids played on the playground for a little bit. Then, we had to rush home and get ready for T's last football game. We really had a nice evening, and I think all the kids really enjoyed themselves.

Talk about Clean Entertainment.

What a fun thing to do. Guess this is why everybody is moving to Utah.

Wow, that sounds like a fun evening!! My daugher really enjoys pony rides too. She's so country and I don't know why...oh wait, maybe because we always move to these little farm towns?????
