In Full Swing

Competition season has begun and we are hitting it with full force.  We've already had 3 this year; 2 for drill and 1 for cheer.  This is always a super fun, busy, and exhausting time.

Love this costume for their dance routine this year.

Jo's first competition of the season!

Kenzie getting ready for her character routine!

19th Anniversary

I love this man of mine.  We've had 19 wonderful years together.  We've had our ups and downs, as all couples do.  Luckily the ups outnumber the downs by leaps and bounds.  I can't imagine my life without him.  I'm so grateful that I have him to go through this crazy adventure together!

Christmas 2015

The kids love to pile in the same room on Christmas Eve so that they can wake up together for the magic of Christmas morning.  There were a few bumps and tears as they were trying to all fit in the same room with mattresses, pillows, blankets, and all.  But, they finally got it all figured out.  They actually let us sleep in a little bit longer this time.  I think we got up around 6:00 a.m.  This year we had a very mild Christmas.  The kids wanted to do a big trip together.  So, our Christmas is our cruise!  Which, by the way is in 75 days!  We can not wait.  The kids still enjoyed their morning.  We opened gifts then went back to bed for a nap.  It was quite nice.  We also played games with the Huntington's and exchanged gifts.  We had dinner with Lana's family and just enjoyed each other!

The next morning we had our annual day after Christmas breakfast with the Bird's and Huntington's.  I love this tradition and can't believe I don't have a picture to show for it.  It's a good time to be with friends and enjoy.

After breakfast we met up with family for some miniature golf and dinner at Golden Corral.  We had a busy fun filled week.  The second week we spent a lot of time at home relaxing, watching movies, doing puzzles, staying up late, and sleeping in!  I'd say it was a success!

Ringing in the New Year was weird for us.  Spencer and I were both sick, so we stayed home half sleeping, waiting to say, "Happy New Year" to each other.  Ry went to his sisters' house and played games.  Tanner was with friends.  Kenz was also with friends', but came home pretty early considering the day.  And Jo did the same.  It just kind of felt strange.  But, needless to say we have a lot of adventure awaiting us this year.  I can't wait to see how it all unfolds.

Family 2015

"Time spent with Family is worth every Second"

Christmas Eve

We ate lots and lots of food on Christmas Eve.  We had an appetizer type dinner.  That way we could eat and enjoy all through the evening.  We had meatballs, little smokies, anti-pasta kabobs, sandwiches, baked brie, cheesecake, dips, brazillian delights, cookies, egg nog, and more.  We had a TON of food, I loved it!

Anna, Grace, and I

We have a tradition of opening Christmas jammies and then spending the evening in them.  We thought it would be fun for all the boys to be Super Heroes for the evening.  Isn't that a handsome looking group?!

Love my fam!

I've never matched my girls and really wanted to this year.  I can't believe I actually found something that worked for all 3 of us!

I love these 2 crazy girls.  They make my heart happy.

Reindeer Games

Christmas Break Fun

We had a lot of family here for the Holidays.  We got to see everyone except for Alec, Kelly, and Katy.  We sure missed them.  We kept ourselves plenty busy with lots of activities.
During one of nights together the boys needed to burn some energy, so they decided to have a snowball fight.  Lana and I made them pause so we could snap a quick photo for posterity sake.

After our bellies had been filled!

We took the kids to a freezing night of 7 Peaks Winter Wonderland fun.  However I think the adults had more fun than the kids.  They all wanted to go home, but we "forced" them to ride the bumper boats through the Christmas village.  By the end we were all cold and wet, but we made memories that no one will forget.

Temple Square

We rode the Frontrunner and Trax up to Temple Square where we walked around enjoying the lights, enjoying the warmth of the visitor's center, and looking at all the nativities from different countries.

Sisters
(minus a few)

Jingle Ball

The school has A LOT of dances.  It's very fun for the kids, but it's very busy.  The Jingle Ball was an Ugly Sweater Dance.  Tanner and Kenzie both had a fun filled night.

Kenzie & Dirk

Tanner picked up his date, but I never got a picture of them together.
He looked super cute though!

Student of the Day

This cute thing got chosen to be "Student of the Day"!  Unfortunately she was sick that day.  But, she did get to enjoy her spoils the day after.  Love that smile she has:)

Where Does the Time Go?

November and December sure flew by.  We kept plenty busy and enjoyed the holidays to the fullest.  Maybe that's why I didn't post, or maybe it's because I'm a huge slacker.  I didn't even take any pictures at Thanksgiving, but I can tell you we had a great time visiting family, eating to our hearts content, and enjoying a break from school!  So now here I am posting.  I guess better late than never.

Every Christmas we love to go see the Live Nativity.  This year was a success.  It was cold, but not too busy so we were able to take our time enjoying each part of the experience.

The boys with one of the "guards".  Loving Tanner's face in this pic!

...and the girls inside the "city".

It was a great night.  I love making these memories and enjoying the kiddos who seem to be growing up way too fast.
