5K

5K
Somehow I got talked into running a 5k in January. I am not a runner. I have never been a runner even when I was cute and thin. However, now I'm running. My SIL gave me this program to get me into gear. The program is 8 weeks long, and the goal is for me to be able to run for 30 minutes nonstop. I'm on week 2, and going strong. I have been sore for 2 weeks. Hopefully I can do this. I really want to, and hopefully I'll be able to lose weight while I do it too! So here's to me running:)

I just ran my first 5K last Saturday. It was great.

Perseverance is the key.

When I started I didn't think I could get past the running for 2 minutes--YOU CAN DO IT.

I'm so jealous! I bet you will love running by the time your 5k comes around! You may even want to sign up for a few more races later on. Maybe by next fall I will be able to go with you!!!

Very cool. What is the program? I'd like to have something written out that I could do. I've run a 5K and a 10K. Of course, the 10K was on March 14th and I haven't worked out since I ran that (I prepared pretty well for it) and now I've gained back the 10 lbs. I lost, plus 5 more. BROTHER! I need to get back into it. Good luck!

You can do it, it will be such anamazing feeling! I was one of the least athletic people in my high school and ran my first half marathon at the age of 30, there's nothing like it!
