Fun in Logan

I never posted all our pictures from Logan, so here they are!

Tater Tot

We love when little Tater Tot comes to visit. We all have to have our turn holding her and playing with her, and kissing her!! She's just too cute!

Doing Dishes

We started a new chore chart this week. S was the first to have the dishes.

That job includes rinsing all the dishes off so that another person can put them in the dishwasher. Then he has to wipe the counters off. He came into our room and told us he was all done. When I went to check this is what I found. The dishes were all rinsed and stacked on the counter waiting to be loaded into the dishwasher. He did a great job!!

Easter Morning

This morning we woke up to a blanket of snow.

That is not what Easter morning should look like.

Logan Competition

We went to Logan last weekend for the girls' first competition of the year.

We had a great time and the girls did well!

It's Off!!

We went to the Dr. yesterday and S got his cast off!!

He was a little nervous to get if off because he didn't know if it would hurt or not.

He had his little fist clenched so tight the entire time. It was pretty cute.

He was very glad when it was all over and done with.

Now he's off and running, enjoying the full use of his arm again.

The Dr. said everything healed nicely and that the little bone fragment reattached itself and everything looks great! Hopefully it stays that way:)

March Birthdays

Last night we celebrated the March Birthdays!

Meet Bond, James Bond

Yesterday I walked past the bedroom as S was getting dressed and noticed that he was putting church clothes on. When I asked him what he was doing, he looked at me and said,

"Mom, I'm being James Bond!" Of course! This is my kid who loves to dress up. He always has. For a while when he was little he was always Batman. We even had to call him Bruce before he would answer us. What a character that one is. We just love him to pieces!

2 Days, 3 Teeth

These 3 kiddos have all lost a tooth within the past 2 days.

Yesterday morning M said she woke up with her tongue on her tooth. I'm glad she didn't swallow it. S has had a loose tooth for a while and asks DH every day to try and pull it. Yesterday he really wanted it gone, and it finally came out. Then today we had our family party and the kids were outside playing. J came in with a bloody mouth and said that her cousin had knocked her tooth out. Luckily it was already loose, so there were no tears involved. The tooth fairy has been one busy lady around our house lately!

Missing Baby Joneaux

We had so much fun when Anna, Ama, and Baby Joneaux came to visit.

We all had to have our turn with cute little baby J!

Why do they have to live so far away?

We miss him already.

Casted

We went back to the doctor yesterday for new x-rays.

S actually has a little bone chip floating around in his elbow.

They decided to put a hard cast on for the next 2 weeks.

Then, they will x-ray it again and decide what to do at that point.

He chose this cool camo cast.
Here's for hoping everything heals properly!

The Big 12

On Sunday, T turned 12!

Holy Cow! How is he 12?

Doesn't he look super handsome in his new suit?

Here he is in the morning opening some new ties to wear with his new suit.

He's in his Futsal Championship T-shirt, which his team won Saturday morning.

When I asked him what kind of cake he wanted, he kind of hesistated.
Then I told him that he didn't have to have a cake, he could have whatever he wanted,
and he chose 4-layer dessert. A yummy choice!!

Sunday afternoon he received the priesthood!
What an amazing experience. He has been so excited for this milestone. For the last few Sundays he has been carefully watching the sacrament being passed, so that he can be ready when it's his turn. DH gave him a wonderful blessing and I of course was very emotional. I can't believe that I have two priesthood holders in my home now. How wonderful and amazing! I am so proud of T and the decisions he has made in his life. I feel so blessed to be his mom. He is a wonderful young man. He's athletic, smart, kind, great with young kids, a good worker, has a good sense of humor, and will honor his priesthood. I love him with all my heart!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY T!!

After church we had some family come over for dinner and dessert. It was nice to have everyone there, and to know that they were there supporting T. It was truly a wonderful day!

Fun with Little Tate

We got to babysit Tate the other day and then she came over for family dinner.

We had a lot of fun playing with her and had to take lotsof pictures.

She's getting so big and is so cute!!

If you look closely you can see her 2 little teeth growing in.

Tate started to get a little fussy, so M took her and read to her.

She stopped crying right away and was very happy reading.

Broken Finger

So S fractured his elbow on Monday, then on Tuesday M broke her finger.

Fun times in our house. S accidentally slammed her finger in the door. She cried and cried.

Her finger is still swollen, all bruised up, and her nail will probably fall off.

I didn't take her to the doctor because I know there isn't much they can do for a broken finger. Instead we went and bought a splint for her to wear. Hopefully she'll be feeling better soon.

When it rains, it pours.

Fractured Elbow

Our school had skate night tonight. They do this every year, but for one reason or another we have never gone. This year they begged and begged to go. So, we went. Probably 5 minutes after the kids got their skates on, S came up to me crying and holding his arm. He was very insistent that his arm was broken. I held him for a little and got him some ice, but he did not calm down. Usually when he gets hurt it only lasts for a little bit and then he's fine. So when 10 minutes had passed and he hadn't stopped crying at all I figured something was wrong. DH was at work of course. Luckily some friends were there, and they said they would take care of the other kiddos and get them home so that I could take care of S. Off to the ER we went. They got him in pretty quickly which I was grateful for. They x-rayed him and found a small fracture in his elbow. I guess where he fractured it, is by the growth plates so they wanted an orthopedic surgeon to look at it to make sure he didn't need surgery. Thankfully it wasn't surgical. They put a soft cast on him and said that he needed to stay in that for a week and then follow up with a doctor for another x-ray and possibly a hard cast. Poor S. I felt so bad for him. He kept saying that this was the worst pain he's ever been in. Then he kept apologizing. What a cute kid. I just hope he will be careful this week and not do any more damage to it.

Getting Ready

M had a performance a couple of weeks ago and has another one coming up soon.

Morning Sounds

I love waking up to the sounds of my children playing in their rooms. This morning when I woke up I heard the girls quietly playing in their room. They were making up some kind of game, and having a great time. Then, I went to check on the boys and they were upstairs playing together nicely with no fighting. What a pleasant way to wake up!

Family Birthday Party

On Saturday we had our February Family Birthday Party!!

We always have so much fun. February is a month full of birthdays, which means lots of fun!!

Our menu was steak, baked potatoes, green bean casserole, onion rings,

sugar cookies, and ice cream. YUMMY!!

Brenda and Olivia are both February babies...

...so is Jalen...

...and my crazy husband.

A Little Bit on T

T has been a busy kid these days. He is growing right up. The other day he came home from school with his Jr. High registration paper. He needed to choose his electives and then turn the paper back in the next day. Weird. How do I have a kid who will be going to Jr. High next year? He chose Art, Drama, and Spanish with Chorus and General Music as his alternates.

He's been busy playing Futsal (indoor soccer), for the last 2 months, is loving it. He plays games 2 nights a week, and has practice one night a week. He is really playing well!

For Science the kids had to make an "Ice Melt Box", which is a container that holds ice. The goal was to see whose box would keep the ice solid the longest. T's box won! It took like 4 hours before his ice cube melted. He was pretty excited, and came up with his box all on his own!

Sunday we went to a Court of Honor, where he got his First Class Rank.

He loves the scouting program, and is really doing well with his requirements.

I'm so glad that he has good leaders who help and encourage him to succeed!
He's a pretty great kid!

Icebreaker Tournament

The real reason we went to St. George was for a soccer tournament, all the fun was just an added bonus. The Icebreaker Tournament was this weekend. T's team did awesome. They came in 4th in their division, which is amazing. T really came alive this weekend. He was right in the action all the time. He really has improved in his soccer skills this last year. It's such a rewarding thing watching your kids succeed. He had some great moves and even scored!
