Stuff

Trying something new, acupuncture.  I'm having absolutely no luck in the knee pain department.  I hurt every day.  Chronic pain is exhausting.  Something's got to change because I can't keep living like this.  So, acupuncture is next on my list.  My friend has done it and said that it helps manage her pain.  If I can get a little relief it would be worth it.  I was super sore afterwards and I have to keep going back, so we'll see how it goes.

Kenzie at BDT

Her team won 1st place with their performance dance and won the award for being the hardest working team.  They were so excited.  Kenzie said BDT was a blast and she loved every minute of it.

Girls camp was last week and was a success! We got a lot of positive feedback from ward leaders, so I was super glad to hear that.  It takes a lot of prayer, faith, time, planning, time, creativity, and oh yeah did I mention time? to plan girls camp.  I hope everyone had a great time and that they learned something new, made new friends, or benefited in some way.  It was busy, and I'm  tired!

Eyebrows

Teenage daughters are good at keeping their mommas looking good.  Kenz did a little eyebrow fixing on me today.  She's such a cute girl and I feel lucky to be her mom and friend!

Father's Day 2016

So true!

Happy Father's Day to this guy!
We are so lucky to call him ours.  He brings so much laughter and fun into our family.  He's caring, hard working, a great priesthood leader, and so much more.  Love you Ry!

Oldest & Youngest

Oldest & youngest grandsons right here!
We got to meet River tonight.  I can't believe he's already six weeks old and we are just barely meeting him.  I wish we lived closer so that I could snuggle him all the time.  He's so precious!  I actually wish we could buy a huge compound and everyone could live close by.  How great would that be?  I'd love it!

My babies

Kenz and I were going through some old scrapbooks and we came across this cute picture.  This has always been one of my faves!  Tanner really wanted to paint his sisters' toenails.  I remember he was concentrating so hard, and Kenzie just sat there and let him do it.  I think she may have been just barely 1 year old.  I can't believe how fast they've grown.  Love this pic!

Aubrey & Jo

I was getting my hair done the other day and these 2 cute girls were hanging out on the trampoline together.  I'm so grateful that we get to live close to some of our family.  I love that the cousins get to make fun memories together.  I wish we saw more of each other, but I'll take what I can!

Family Yard Work

We have 2 planter areas in our front yard that have been just piles of weeds, wood, and all sorts of junk.  Really it's been a huge eye sore.  Tanner, Kenz, Jo and I worked hard to clean those areas out and I really wanted to buy rock to put down.  I was talking to Tanner about it the other day and then that night he sent me a text that he had found free rocks.  So, we took a drive to check them out.  They were perfect.  When Ry and Spence got home from scout camp we loaded all the kids up, borrowed a truck, and got to work.  Miracle of all miracles everyone really worked well together.  It took us 4 trips, but we got it and they look great!  I will eventually plant something in there, but for now it looks 100 times better than all the weeds that were there.  Yard work takes a lot of effort.  Really it's something that needs to be done daily.  I'm excited that our yard is FINALLY looking nice.  We still have a ways to go, but at least we are making a dent.  Yay for family working on this project together.

Drill Retreat

2016-2017 Las Chalitas

This was the girls first week of practice since school got out, and they worked hard.  They get up early and practice for 3 hours each day.  They are going to be awesome this year.  The drill retreat was the perfect end to their first week back.  These are some amazing girls and I can't wait to see all that they will accomplish this year.

Finally!

I got the pattern to make this tree skirt years and years ago.  I made all of our stockings and an advent calendar in the same style and was so excited to have a matching tree skirt.  But, by the time I was done with everything else, I was done!  So, I tucked it away never to be seen until recently.  Since I'm working graveyards, it's something that I can do at night that keeps my fingers busy which helps me stay awake.  Anywho that was a really long way to say that my tree skirt is finally done!
I can't wait to put it around my Christmas tree this year.

Boys

Spencer invited his friend to come over and hang out.  I went to go talk to them and found them like this.  I laughed at them as they were laying on the bed, playing on their phones, not talking.  Is that what hanging out looks like now?

Well, will wonders never cease!
These boys actually played basketball together NICELY!
That's the way it should be.  It made my heart very happy.

Girls in Cali

Dani invited the girls to Cali with her last week, and they had a blast!
They did a lot of swimming, went to the beach, painted mugs, did masks, went to the mall & the movies, went out to eat, and just enjoyed spending time together.

One night they went on a "safari"!

Hanging out doing masks and nails and just being together.

Kenz went on a double date with Hannah while they were there!

Finger painting with their toes!

Enjoying the beach despite the chilly weather.

Not to shabby!

This picture cracks me up:)

(Courtesy to my sis for all the pics I "stole" off her blog!)

I'm so glad the girls were able to go and spend time with their cousins.  I won't lie I was a little bit jealous.  Hopefully we'll all get to go sometime in the near future.  I love spending time with family, there is no better place to be!

Skydiving

Tanner has been waiting to go skydiving for probably 2 years.  But, you have to be 18 in order to go.  So, for his birthday we paid for him to go skydiving!  He was super excited.  We tried to go a few weeks ago, but it ended up being too windy.  So he had to wait a little bit longer.  The day finally came and he was all smiles.  He got a little bit nervous once reality sank in as to what he was doing.

His tandem jumper has over 6,000 jumps!

They jumped at 13,500 feet and fell at 125 miles per hour.
Tanner loved every single second of it!

He was all smiles when he was done and said that he would definitely do it again!

Class of 2016

This handsome boy of mine graduated from high school!  I can hardly believe it.  He was more than ready to be done with high school, me not so much.  But, it came anyways.  I'm so proud of all he's accomplished and the man he is becoming.

Proud Mom & Dad

Love, love, love this boy of mine!

Receiving his diploma, CRAZY!

So grateful that he had so many good friends during high school.

3 Drivers

Another teenage driver!  How can that be?  Spencer has been begging to go get his permit.  Finally today we were able to go, and he passed.  We went out for a little drive and it was a little terrifying;)  Luckily he has a whole year that he gets to practice.  I'm sure he'll be begging to drive all the time.  Deep breaths for this mama!

Book Club

Here are some of the cute ladies in my book club!  We've been meeting for 3 1/2ish years.  We always have a good time together.  Not everyone reads all the books all the time, but nonetheless it's a great time to get together, laugh, eat treats, and enjoy some girls time!
